Keep It Simple
If you've never laid tile before and your main goal is simply to create a space where your family can eat, keep it simple. Square your first tile to the corner of your table. Lay each of your corners and go from there. For a more unusual look, switch up the color of your tiles, alternating as you go. Get creative and lay tiles on the diagonal for a trendier look, or create a design out of standard tiles.
