2. Scour thrift stores and flea markets for pieces to decorate your space. Often the only difference between a piece you would find in an antique shop or at a yard sale is the price tag, so keep a lookout for interesting furniture, fabrics and accessories you can use to redesign your bedroom.
3. Give new life to old furniture. If you can't buy new furniture to change your space, try refurbishing old furniture. Sand and repaint your existing chairs and dressers to give them a fresh look. With a large piece of fabric and an inexpensive sheet of upholstery foam, you could upholster a tired old headboard.
