Kids can coexist harmoniously in a shared bedroom.
When you have more kids than available bedrooms, they may have to double up. Although it may have its challenges, sharing a bedroom can also be a bonding experience for kids, helping them draw closer to each other. Consider the way you arrange a bedroom for two kids, making sure that you give each child an individual spot to call his own.
Instructions
1. Consider the furniture you will place in the bedroom. Two twin beds might be suitable for a larger room, or a bunk bed can save space if the room is smaller. Each child probably needs a dresser to store clothing. If you have enough room in the bedroom, you might include bedside tables, toy storage and desks for each child.
2. Arrange the beds in a way that gives
3. Place dressers near each child's twin bed or along another wall if you use a bunk bed. If the bedroom has limited space, place the dressers in a walk-in closet or use one large dresser that two children can share. Another option is to use a cubbie system on the wall, where children can store clothing in easy-to-reach cubbies.
4. Add other pieces to the bedroom if space permits. A large room may have enough space for a desk or two or storage for toys. If the room is not large, create a study area and playroom in another part of the home.
