Coordinate Colors In A Remodeled Bathroom

After a bathroom overhaul, don't go back to using the old bathroom set and accessories that probably don't match. If you spent the money remodeling a bathroom, it's worth it to change it up a bit. Otherwise, the room will not look as fresh and new. Using the right set of colors is important because it affects mood and perception.

Instructions

1. Keeping the remodeled design in mind, identify the style. Is it modern, woodsy, minimalist, trendy, elegant, Moroccan, kitschy, or themed?

2. Select the type of feeling you want the bathroom to convey. Do you want to make it warm and cozy (mid to dark colors), clean and spacious (white and light colors), fun and energizing (bright, popping colors) or strict and professional (blue or black colors)?

3. In order to coordinate colors well, start off with the remodeled bathroom color as a reference point. Choose the general color and visit ColorSchemeDesigner.com to find a complimentary color scheme using as many colors as you desire.

4. After choosing your color scheme preference, choose colors within the scheme for the towels, shower curtain and floor mats. Towels can drastically change the mood in the room. For instance, using burgundy red will radiate a warm feeling as opposed to a white towel.

5. Choose another matching color for the bathroom set, which usually consists of a soap dispenser, soap dish, toothbrush holder and wastebasket.
