Remove A Bathroom Faucet Cap

Remove faucet caps to access the screws underneath.

A faucet cap is located at the top of the handle that turns the water on and off. The cap is a decoration as well as a cover for the screw fastener hidden underneath. Faucet caps are typically plastic and popped into the grooves located on the tops of the handles. To remove a faucet cap, slide a small slotted screwdriver under it. Most faucets feature small indentations on the handles where a slotted screwdriver can easily be inserted.

Instructions

1. Inspect the faucet cap and locate the indentation in the handle that will allow a slotted screwdriver to be inserted.

2. Slip the slotted end of the screwdriver under the cap.

3. Push down on the back of the screwdriver slightly to dislodge the cap.
