Hide Supplies In A Dining Room Buffet

Your dining room buffet top can display beautiful meals for special occasions.

Your dining room buffet (also called a credenza or armoire) holds cutlery, serving dishes and other accessories you use for entertaining. Like other clean, clear spaces in the home, the dining room buffet can easily become a haven for clutter and a base for misplaced items unrelated to dining and entertaining. You can hide your supplies with style and ensure your buffet remains clutter-free while also retaining an aesthetic of style -- if you know how.

Instructions

1. Remove everything from the top of your dining room buffet, and remove anything from the inside. Clean the buffet well and give it shine. These steps ensure you have a clean, clutter-free surface to organize your supplies.

2. Place your supplies in wood, leather, glass or brass organizational containers. Opt for a mixture of textures for a rich look, or keep it consistent with a particular style and tone. Place your entertaining supplies such as napkin rings, special dishes and bar ware in individual containers. Designate particular containers for other supplies as well. This will keep them well-hidden.

3. Use baskets to organize the interior of your dining buffet. This will maximize space on top of your dining room buffet and enable you to hide supplies on top and on bottom. Add doors to the bottom of your buffet if it does not have existing doors; doors also maximize space.
