Whether you are painting a small room for a child or sprucing up your own, bedroom art is an exciting and creative idea that goes beyond just typical wall paint. You have endless themes to choose from. Each theme can be as inviting, fun, humorous or abstract as you want it to be.
Instructions
1. Decide on the type of picture you would like to paint. If you have a picture or a photograph that you particularly like, it would be helpful if you purchase a small projector from any craft store and use it to project and trace the picture onto your wall.
2. Clean your walls of any smudges, tape or holes. If you have substantial holes on your walls due to pictures, posters or shelves, you may need to patch up those holes before you begin to paint your bedroom wall.
3. Pick the ideal spot for your picture. For an interesting position, consider painting in the corners of your wall and then expanding the picture onto two walls, rather than just one. Once you have picked your spot, use the projector to display your image. Move it back to make the image larger on the wall, or move it closer to make the image smaller.
4. Begin tracing the image with your paintbrush when you have the projector and image set. It would be easier if you used a smaller brush for tracing, as this will leave thinner lines for your outline. Once you have the overall outline traced, begin filling in the image with larger brushes and different colors.
5. Paint the walls freehand, if you wish to do so. In this case, you do not need to use a projector. Just pick the place for your image on the wall and paint a rough outline of your image. How abstract or non-conventional your image is depends on the type of art you enjoy.
