Use blue and brown flowers in vases to liven up the room.
When a bedroom is in need of a makeover, a brown-and-blue color scheme can create a sophisticated and tranquil environment. Use a light blue with a dark brown or reverse the colors and opt for a dark blue and light brown. To keep an open and airy space, use the light color as the dominant color and the dark as an accent color.
Instructions
1. Apply a fresh coat of primer to the walls and allow them to dry for 24 hours. Apply a coat of light steel blue paint to all four walls, allow them to dry for 24 hours, and then apply a second coat of paint.
2. Find the center 2 feet of one wall and tape it off with green or blue painter's tape. Paint this center column a dark brown color with a slight green hue to it. Let the paint dry, apply a second coat, and then remove the painter's tape and leave it for another 24 hours.

Fill in the stencil with the primer and leave it for 24 hours. Apply the blue paint used on the rest of the walls, let the paint dry, and reapply a second coat.
4. Cover the bed with a blue bedspread or comforter that is one or two shades lighter than the wall color, with brown stripes or accents. Monogram the pillow cases with dark brown thread.
5. Hang dark brown curtain rods with two light blue sheers on the outer portions of the rod and one dark brown sheer in the middle. Decorate any other windows in the same fashion.
6. Hang one column of dark wood picture frames on the wall connected to the wall with the brown column. Hang another column of frames on the wall opposite the wall that now has the picture frames.
7. Fill a
