Paint Black & White Bedrooms

Painting a room and changing its colors can be gratifying; you get a nice change of pace, and it is like having a brand new room put in your home. Whether you want to paint your room in black or white colors or you want to paint over black and white walls, the actual process of painting remains the same, including preparation.

Instructions

1. Position several rags or old blankets on the floor, preferably against the wall you are about to paint.

2. Begin painting with the paint roller. Roll the roller against the wall in a "W" pattern. This maximizes coverage and uniformity, making the paint job look neat. This is the method you will use when painting the majority of the wall. Attach a paint roller extender if your walls are too high to reach normally.

3. Fill in any leftover spots with the paintbrush. Use the same "W" method as with the roller. Again, attach a paint brush extender if necessary.

4. Apply a second coat in the same way you did the first coat. Ensure that the first coat is completely dry before you apply the second coat.
