1. Choose a cheery paint color for the walls. Take your toddler to the store to select a few paint samples to take home. Tape them to the wall, and see if she shows an interest or preference in one color over the other. Consider using two contrasting yet compatible colors, such as green and orange or pink and yellow. Fill it with a few classic children's books, and complete it with a pair of bookends. You can also put in a standard bookcase.
