Repair A Clogged Bathroom Sink

Bathroom sink clogs are common and can be fixed easily.

Bathroom sink clogs are common. With all the hair and other items that are washed down the drain, buildup can sometimes become so severe that the drain gets clogged completely. When this happens, break up the clog using the fizzing power of baking soda and vinegar. The reaction that is created when the two household ingredients combine will take out the clog and allow your sink to drain properly.

Instructions

1. Measure out a 1/2 cup of dry baking soda and sprinkle it in the clogged drain.

2. Pour 1 cup of white vinegar into the drain.

3. Wait for 30 minutes to allow the fizz to eat through the clog.

4. Fill a saucepan with water and bring it to a boil if you have metal pipes underneath your bathroom sink, then pour it down the drain. If you have plastic pipes, just turn the faucet on as hot as it will go and let it run for 30 seconds or so.
