Replace Bathroom Faucets

Whether your old faucets are dripping or outdated, replacing them can be the easy answer you are looking for. New faucets can update a bathroom with a small amount of time and work. Learn replace bathroom faucets by following these steps.

Instructions

1. Turn off the water supply to the sink. Use the stop valves located under the sink. If the stop valves don't work, turn off the main water supply. Test the faucet to see if the water is off.

2. Remove the water lines from the back of the faucet. Remove the arm coming down from the faucet that is connected to the drain stopper arm.

3. Use a basin wrench to remove the faucet from the sink. Remove the nuts and washers from the faucet to be able to lift the faucet from the sink.

4. Install the new faucet by inserting it into the hole. Some faucets come with gaskets, and some must be sealed with caulk. Seal the faucet properly before tightening the nuts and washers. Use the basin wrench to tighten the nuts and washers.

5. Replace the drain and water lines to the new faucet. Apply plumbers putty to the drain flange before connecting it. Test the water lines by running the water for a few minutes to make sure there are no leaks before tightening them completely.
