If you are decorating a bedroom for a little girl, many options are open to you when you would like to create a cute look. A cute bedroom for a little girl does take some planning and some work, but the end result is a room that will make your little girl feel like a princess.
Mosquito Netting Canopy
A mosquito netting canopy covers the little girl's bed with gauzy swags of cloth that give it an elegant draping look. Hang the mosquito netting from one point above the center of the bed, and drape it over the edges of the bed to raise the visual look of the room and create a central nest for your little girl to sleep in.
Skirting
To create a colorful, feminine look to your little girl's room, add skirting to the bed, the desk and any chairs that are in the room. You can purchase or sew fabric skirting and add it to furniture with the simple application of hot glue. The fabric softens the look of the room, and purchasing matching fabric gives the room a more cohesive look.
Bunk Beds
Even if the girl is not sharing the room, bunk beds can give you more storage options and more ways to configure the room. For example, arrange all of a girl's stuffed animals on the top bunk, peering down. The girl can also sleep on the top bunk and use the bottom bunk for socialization by throwing matching pillows on it.

Paint a mural on the girl's wall. You can paint over it later when her tastes change. Paint flowers, unicorns or anything else that catches your little girl's fancy. Purchase a large dry erase board, and mount it at a level where can reach it. Cover the metal frame with ribbons or glue fabric over it to help it blend in with the rest of the room. Give the girl dry erase markers, and allow her to draw on the dry erase board as she pleases. This is one type of decoration that allows her to exercise her own creativity while not damaging the room.
