Fans of the Atlanta Braves can celebrate their
Solid Colors
Braves fans looking to design a team themed room without a lot of detail may want to stick to solid blocks, or walls, of color. Using the teams' color combination of navy blue and red, paint alternating walls. Alternatively, highlight one wall in bright Braves red, creating the perfect accent for the darker navy. To find the perfect color match, bring your Braves cap, jersey, poster or other item that features the navy and red logo to a home improvement or paint store. Look for shades that, when dry, match the Braves' colors or ask a paint professional to mix a distinct hue.
Kids' Rooms
If your little slugger can't get enough of his favorite team, try a hand-crafted Braves paint job. Use stencils or freehand drawing to create the club's Turner Field onto your child's walls. Have the mural flow from wall to wall or create a more compact version on one wall. Paint the ball field with stencil, specialty or craft paints and an artist's brush. Add removable vinyl wall decals of your child's most loved players. You'll be able to remove the decals later, without destroying the paint underneath, and replace them with different players as the roster changes.
Team Logo
Celebrate the Braves by adding their team logo to your bedroom paint scheme. Use cursive or script stencils to get the distinctive lettering. Start with a light or neutral paint color such as beige or tan. This will highlight the red and navy Braves wording. Look for over-sized letters or create multiple logos in different sizes across the wall. Tape the stencils to the wall and fill them in with red craft paint. Add an outline in navy blue with a thin brush. For a special touch, free paint or stencil on the team's tomahawk symbol beneath the lettering.
Patterns
Batter up, or in this case, pattern up. Paint your bedroom either navy blue or red and add a layer of stripes, checks or even zigzags. Use a level and painter's tape to mark off your chosen pattern. Paint the second color inside of the taped lines. For example, start with a base shade of red; after taping the lines, add navy blue to create your pattern. Allow the paint at least 24 hours to fully dry. Remove the tape to reveal your Braves themed color design.
