1. Use plaster to give your bathroom walls a rustic texture. Apply swirling patterns of plaster to clean walls with a trowel, and allow it to dry.
2. Enhance a Tuscan-inspired bathroom by painting the walls with "old world" colors. Tuscany is known for its agriculture and wine, so choose earthy tones such as chocolate brown, rust orange, and burnished gold, or wine-inspired shades like eggplant purple and olive green. Let the base coat dry, and add another coat if necessary for deeper color.
3. After you have finished the base painting, add details to give your bathroom a distinct Tuscan look. The remaining steps offer some suggestions.
