Princess
The princess decorating idea is a favorite one for little girls who are interested in the glamour aspect of being a girl. Paint the room a light pink color with a slightly darker pink color on the trim. On the edges of the walls, glue a border around the room that has pictures of a princess or a castle. Every little girl wants to feel extra special, so instead of just decorating the walls and doors, purchase a bed that is designed in the shape of a castle in which the bed is higher than average.
Garden
The garden decorating idea is applied in a variety of ways to a little girl's bedroom. Choose her favorite colors, and cover the wall in flowers that incorporate her favorite colors. If she likes butterflies, have a majority of butterflies flying above the flowers and landing on a couple of the flowers' petals. Nearly every little girl has a cartoon show that she loves to watch or a favorite character in particular. Decorate the entire room with characters from Dora the Explorer or Hello Kitty, if these are her favorites, and use the associated colors in the cartoons. Purchase a bedspread and curtains to match so that your little girl is consumed with her favorite character or cartoon show.
