Looking for wood burning stamp

Looking for wood burning stamp

Looking for a stamp that burns the builder's info (name, telephone number, etc.), on the wood project. I live in south central Indiana, but maybe I can order one from someone. Your help will be appreciated. Thank you! mlminin mlminin , Just saw some of those the other day. Rockler.com Request one of thier catalogs, they've got just about everything. fred Thank you for the link. I appreciate the help. I did a quick search and didn't find one, but plan to go back for a deeper search. Does anyone know where, (what kind of store), I would start looking locally for a stamp as I described? I haven't seen anything like it in the hobby store. Perhaps Lowe's or similar? mlminin mlminin You're probably not going to find a hobbyist branding iron locally. If you want to zip over to the Woodcraft store in Evansville, they'll order you one from the manufacturer. Or, like I mentoned - Rockle.com - the link direct to the branding irons is: http://www.rockler.com/ecom7/searchrslts.cfm?DID=6 fred I've been using one I got from Rockler for about 10 years. Be sure to get one that plugs in vice heating with a torch if you are going to use it a lot. Mine is a torch-heated, but I don't use it very often. My son and I looked for the branding stamp and couldn't find one on the Rockler site. (He wants it for the picnic tables he's selling.)You mentioned a WoodCraft store in Evansville... Anymore info on that? Thanks. mlminin mlminin, Woodcraft - http://shop.woodcraft.com/woodcraft/...gift=giftID= Eastland Place Shopping Center 721 North Green River Road Evansville, IN 47715 812-479-9663 Maybe this Rockler site address is better: http://www.rockler.com/ecom7/showoff...D=157Catid=71 *Nice* branding irons! Thanks for the link, also for the other information. I like the thoroughness that is characteristic of these forums. Thank you, All. mlminin Hi, Try this, found in the Woodshop News, Feb. 2002 Norcraft P.O. Box 606 New Boston, NH 03070 Phone/Fax; !-800-538-4831 Any Size or Design, names , initals, monograms, signatures' and logos, faithfully reproduced. Electric or torch heated, hand held or drill press mounted Hope this helps you Thank you for the information. I'd like to know what they have and for how much. mlminin Hi again, Don't know what kind of prices on the first lead, but I've found another Brand New 1-800-964-8251 prices start at$59.00 www.brandnew.net Thank you all for your suggestions. I appreciate them very much and hope that others will be helped in the future by the responses that you offered. The final decision, in case anyone is interested, is to use a rubber stamp, permanent ink and poly the stamped area. I had seen what I thought was burned into the leg of a picnic table, but was told that it was done with a rubber stamp. It looked like it was burned to me, so is another option. The stamp is much less expensive and will be ordered at a local print shop. It would be great to have the electrically heated stamping iron, but with our circumstances, the rubber stamp will do, at least for now. Thank you all for your generous help. mlminin
