Remodel Bathroom Cabinets

Updating the look of your bathroom cabinets instantly remodels your bathroom.

It's time to remodel those bathroom cabinets. Remodeling the cabinets creates an instant, new, dramatic look and feel to your bathroom. You do not have to have extensive carpentry or plumbing skills to successfully remodel your bathroom cabinets. Decide if you want your bathroom cabinets to match your current bathroom decor or if you wish to add a bold, dramatic accent color in the bathroom by painting the cabinets black or another bold color.

Instructions

1. Lay plastic on the floor and around your bathroom cabinets to protect them from accidental paint splatter.

2. Remove items inside the cabinets, and sweep any dirt and debris away with a small broom and dustpan. Remove the cabinet doors by unscrewing the hinges with your drill and set them aside.

3. Paint your bathroom cabinet frame inside and out with your paintbrush and paint. When the paint dries, apply a second coat of paint to the cabinets.

4. Paint your bathroom cabinet doors with paint and your paintbrush. Decide if you want to add a contrast to the cabinets by painting the doors with one coat of paint, or if you wish to match the bathroom cabinet doors to the cabinet frame with two coats of paint.

5. Install pullout shelves inside your bathroom cabinets according to the manufacturer's directions. Pullout shelves work well when organizing bathroom cabinets.

6. Remove the cabinet doorknobs and hinges on the doors with your screwdriver. Install new doorknob and hinges by screwing them in the exact holes of the old hardware you removed.

7. Replace your bathroom cabinet doors by screwing the hinges back in their designated holes on the cabinet frame with your drill.
