Instructions

Purchase a new bedspread if the old one is dated or shabby. Use the bedspread as the color scheme to stage the guest room. Choose neutral modern colors that coordinate with the wall and carpet colors.
4. Stage the guest room to show potential buyers a full bedroom set can comfortably fit in the room. Find room for an end table, lamp, dresser and chair. Remove the chair if the room appears too crowded. Coordinate the colors of the headboard, dresser and side table. Paint old furniture or purchase inexpensive furniture to make the guest room shine.
5. Use accessories to stage the guest room. Put a set of towels or other guest necessities in a basket and set it on the bed. Place flowers on the dresser to give the guest room a welcoming feel. Make your buyer want to stay the night and buy the room along with the rest of the house.
