Baseball is one of America's favorite pastimes and this sure includes a little boy. For most, there is nothing better than catching a game at the local stadium and cheering for
Instructions
1. There are several different things you can do to the walls. First consider the rest of the room. Do you want to make it feel as through your boy is at the ball park? Who is his favorite team? Begin by painting one wall white. Next attach a large logo of the favorite team. You can make one of these at any print shop. Use wallpaper paste to attach it. Next use real life size printouts of bats, bases, and baseballs to create a collage. On another wall, paint a baseball diamond and outfield. This may take a little time, but it will really add to the room. For the other walls, find posters and pictures of the child's favorite ball players.
2. You can find bedding that sports your son's favorite team at most places that sell children's bedding. There are also number of generic baseball sets available as well, for in between washings. All the major league baseball sites offer bedding for youngsters. Check out some of the websites listed in the Resources section below for bedding ideas.
3. Find a beanbag chair that looks like a giant baseball. You can also find a cool trunk and decorate the outside of it with a baseball motif to hold all of his bats, balls, and gloves. Consider a coat rack made from a wooden bat to hang on the wall. If you can find simple headboard, you might put another logo of the team on there as well.
4. Baseball shaped and bat shaped pillows will dress up your child's bed. Put a cool lamp with a bat for the stand and shade with baseballs on your boy's desk. You can also take baseballs and have them cut in half at a local home improvement shop. Take a drill and make several holes in the top of one of halves. Now you have a unique pencil holder. Throw blankets are always a good thing to add as well. These can purchased from the team's official website, and are available in many different sizes and styles.
5. There are many little things you can do to add your own touch to the room. If your son collects baseball autographs, consider a baseball display to keep the baseballs from becoming damaged. If you can find your son's favorite player's jersey, display it in a frame on the wall. You can find jerseys that the player has actually worn at game on many of the online auction sites.
6. Another idea is to put in green carpeting. You might consider an indoor/outdoor style so it looks like the field. Find wide strips of white tape to mark off some of the diamond.
