Horses are beautiful creatures that lend themselves well to a variety of children's bedroom themes, and furniture, accessories and wall decor are readily available. Whether a bedroom is for a boy or girl (or both) who loves history and cowboys or pastel colors and flowers, there is a horse theme for every individual.
Cowboy
Cowboy bedroom themes can focus on horses with other elements including bull riding, clowns and cattle. These themes are perfect for rough and tumble children who like outdoor activity.
You can use leather or denim inspired bedding and linens and add cowboy tools such as lassos, cowboy hats or chaps as decor on the walls. Barrels or saddles can serve as decoration or as functional furniture.

Carousel
Carousel themes are great for smaller children and can incorporate other aspects of carnivals as well.
Look for wallpaper or stencils of carousal horses and lights or lamps that reflect moving carousels on the walls. You can also add a carousel clock and brightly colored canopies over windows or walls.
You can purchase carousel themed furniture for younger children. Add playful touches with a pop-up circus tent and focus your room with a carousel horse rug. Cheerful music boxes also go well with this theme.
Look for ride-able carousel toys. You might consider purchasing an actual decommissioned carousel horse to install in the room.
