Layer Towels In The Restroom

Take your time and layer your towels properly to keep your bathroom looking neat.

The bathroom is one room of the house that you must keep clean and orderly since everyone, including your guests, is likely to visit the room often. Every detail down to how you layer your towels on shelves matters. When you store your towels on a shelf they should look neat and even - just like you see them in a home store. When someone lifts a towel from the pile it should be a simple matter of grabbing and unraveling it for immediate hanging.

Instructions

1. Hold the two top ends of the towel so that the rest is hanging down. Match the two top ends together so that you now have the towel folded in half length-wise. If you want the width to be smaller, fold it in thirds instead (1/3 the way in from one edge then fold in the other edge).

2. Lay the towel on a flat surface. Fold the end closest to you down about 6 inches then lift that folded section and push it forward another 6 inches to make another fold. Repeat this action at the other end of the towel. The result is a neatly layered towel with an accordion-like fold - this is a bit of a change from the norm of simply folding the towel in half then in half yet again. Fold all of your towels in this manner.

3. Pile the towels one over the other so that last (top) flap of the "accordion" is facing outward. This makes it simpler for someone to grab the towel and lift it out of its setting for immediate use. Layer the towels so that the colors go together. For example, place all of the white towels, tan towels and blue towels in their own separate piles.

4. Store your layered towels in a drawer, linen closet, rack or on a storage shelf in your bathroom.
