Create the perfect LEGO-themed bedroom for your child.
LEGOs are plastic building blocks that have been around since 1932. Many children, boys and girls alike, enjoy playing with these bright-colored blocks. If you have a child who loves LEGOs, organize a LEGO-themed bedroom he will love and all his friends will envy. A few ideas and some creativity are all you need to get the block-filled room started.
Walls
Paint a few LEGO blocks on the walls to add some color to the room. For a lot of color, paint an entire wall in LEGO blocks. If you need help, use an overhead projector to get the lines straight and paint each block a different color. Alternatively, paint a border of LEGO blocks around the top or middle of the room. Another idea is to turn one wall into a complete LEGO board. Glue LEGO boards to the wall and attach blocks to the boards. Create a full wall, half wall or go all out and cover all four walls in LEGO boards.
Windows
LEGO-themed fabric is available online and at some crafts stores. Make LEGO-themed curtains or use a bright solid color like red, blue or yellow. Paint LEGO blocks all over the curtains. Hang the curtains with a bright, solid-colored curtain rod and hot glue LEGOs to the ends of the rods. Alternatively, hot glue LEGO blocks all the way across the top of the curtain rods. You can also hot glue LEGOs to basic curtain tiebacks for added decoration.
Bedding
LEGO bedding is available or you can decorate with solid, bright color bedding. Accent the bed with block-shaped pillows or LEGO men. LEGO pillows are available online. Mix up the solid colors. For example, use a solid blue comforter, yellow top sheet, green fitting sheet and several colors of squares pillows. Create a headboard using LEGO blocks. Use a board for the base of the headboard and glue several LEGO blocks together to create the block headboard.
Accessories
Buckets of LEGO blocks are a must decoration for any LEGO themed bedroom. Fill several bright-colored buckets with blocks. LEGO-shaped storage boxes are available online and come in a variety of sizes and colors. Hot glue LEGO blocks to basic lamps and photo frames for added decoration. Toss a LEGO-themed blanket over a chair. All LEGO toys, tables and display sets are ideal for decoration in a LEGO themed bedroom.
