2. Add lockers. This is the perfect storage for a bedroom with many media cabinets and dressers that look like sport lockers. You can use one to hide the video-game consoles and controllers.
3. Buy a trophy case. Your child might be a sports fanatic or he might play sports. Trophies are an essential part to a boys' sports bedroom. Use floating shelves and group all of the medals in one place. This keeps things neat and tidy. Plus, the more small things you place together, the bigger the focal point becomes.
4. Use sporting equipment in unexpected ways. You can turn anything into a light with a simple lamp kit, even a hockey mask. A surfboard can become a headboard. You can hang a few soccer balls from the ceiling for an unexpected art piece. Mount a bike on the wall with a bike hook. It frees up space in the garage and looks like an interesting sculpture. You can find old equipment at thrift stores so you don't have to ruin useful items.
5. Keep it age appropriate. You might think sports bedroom will work for any male. You might think anything with a baseball or soccer ball on it will fit in the room. Some of these items are too juvenile, and your teenager might be embarrassed by them. Get your kid in on the decorating so he can decide what is important to him.
