Cute Decorating Ideas For A Couples' Bedroom

The decor in a couples' room should be a shared decision.

The right bedroom decor makes each person in a couple feel comfortable. Whether considering the transformation of a bachelor bedroom or a brand new room for a couple, the decor of the room should match the personality of the combined team. Balancing the needs of each person is an important part of combining tastes in a shared bedroom. Keeping the decorating cute in nature creates a relaxed atmosphere for enjoyment by the couple.

The Wedding Day Every Day

For a newlywed couple, a cute idea for decorating a bedroom is to relive the wedding day every day. After a wedding, there are keepsake items which a bride and groom never wish to part with. Bouquets, veils and other items used during the ceremony are endearing as symbols of the special day. Use these items to create a bedroom that represents that special day. Place the bridal bouquet, dried or preserved, on the edge of a vanity or nightstand as if it is waiting for the bride to pick up, along with the groom's top hat or handkerchief. Hang wedding pictures on one wall with the bride's veil over the top or hung between. Place the ring bearer's pillow on the bed and the flower girl's basket on a table. Use white bedding and window treatments trimmed with the wedding colors.

Sweetheart Room

Mix red and pink hearts to create a cute couple's bedroom. As a reminder of the love that creates a couple, use red bedding, curtains and rugs. Choose wallpaper with red hearts or roses. Brighten the red with pink heart-shaped pillows. Use heart-shaped frames in pink or red to add pictures to the walls and area tables.

His and Hers

If a couple cannot reach a decision on bedroom decor, a cute idea is to split the room in half by dividing the main wall of the room in half. Paint one side of the wall in black or other darker colors and the other white or a soft feminine shade. Keep the colors either the same in different shades or on opposite ends of the spectrum. Decorate the darker side with the male's interests, such as sports, and the female side with her interests. Choose matching lamps in neutral shades, and use appropriately colored floor rugs to finish the his and hers appearance.

Arabian Romance

Keep the romance alive in the bedroom with a playfully cute Arabian fantasy decor. Use lace or netting to create a canopy over the bed from ceiling to floor. Drape colorful scarves on the walls, tables, lamps and headboard or posts. Place large pottery jars in the corners and by the bed, and use large, colorful rugs on the floor.
