When it comes time to add a touch of style to your bathroom, look no further than Moen bathroom faucets. Moen manufactures and markets a number of different bathroom faucet models that are sure to match your particular style. Installing a Moen bathroom faucet isn't different from installing any other bathroom faucet model. The most important part of this bathroom project is making sure that the countertop where the Moen faucet will be installed is clean.
Instructions
1. Clean off the countertop area where you will be installing the Moen bathroom faucet, using a rag or paper towel and bathroom cleaner. Use a cleaning product that won't harm your countertop. Scrape up any old plumber's putty or silicone caulk with a putty knife.
2. Align the Moen bathroom faucet so that each of the inlets at the base of the faucet match up with the holes in the countertop. Insert the Moen bathroom faucet through the countertop.
3. Thread the plastic wing nuts onto the underside of the Moen faucet. Tighten them with a wrench.
4. Wrap the threads on the underside of the Moen bathroom faucet with plumber's tape. Make at least one turn around the Moen threads with the tape. Trim off the excess tape. Repeat this process for the threads on the water supply valves below the faucet inlets.
5. Secure one end of a water supply hose to the hot water supply valve. These may be colored red or identified by the letters "HOT" or "H." Tighten the coupling with an adjustable wrench. Thread the other end of the water supply hose over the inlet on the underside of the Moen faucet. Repeat this process for the cold water supply hose.
6. Turn on the water supply valves by rotating the round handles to the left.
7. Attach the handles to the Moen faucet, if needed. These may secure at the base of the handle by rotating it to the left or the right, or they may be held in place with a hex screw that needs to be tightened with an Allen wrench.
8. Open up the handle and allow the water to run out of the faucet for a few seconds before use.
