Color Schemes
Vibrant will evoke the feeling of the beach for a surfer boy's bedroom. Hues of green, blue, orange, and sand emulate the colors of the beach, the ocean and the sky. These colors are neutral and masculine at the same time.
Surfing Ideas
Actively create the room your surfer boy dreams about. Re-create the essence of the water by painting the walls a shade of blue. Hang beach items on the walls such as wood, shells, starfish, etc. Integrate surfboards by making them into a headboard, or hanging them above the bed. Lighting can be used in the corners of the bedroom to create the illusion of an illuminating sun. Place posters on the wall, or within the closet, of a favorite surfing icon, or wave.
Bedding & Furniture
Choose light colored bedding. Stick with a traditional white bedding pattern which will appear clean and crisp. White bedding also stays neutral and will provide a picturesque contrast to the additional color patterns around the room. Or, choose a light green/blue that will complement the already ocean-inspired surf vibe. Incorporate wood grain furniture for an organic feel.
