Bedroom
Creating a personal and unique bedroom can be both serious and a little on the wild side. Bedrooms are a place to escape, a sanctuary and a reflection of ourselves. Texture is an element in a bedroom that can add softness, hardness and visual interest. Art work is another example of adding personal and unique touches to a bedroom.
Texture in the bedroom
Contracting decorative pillows
Texture is not only about the feel of an object, but also about the way it can create a contrast in the room. A bed for example may be made of a rich dark hard wood and then adding a soft flowing sheer fabric cascading from post to post will create that visually unique contrast. Pillows are another example of how texture and contrast work well together. This contrast can be achieved by combining a few decorative pillows that are filled with soft down feathers and covered in a silky lush velvet fabric with crisper, firmer white pillow shams.

Frames
Art is a fantastic way to create a unique wall in a bedroom. Select a wall and use art work stacked on top of each other in rows of three to six depending on wall space, to fill the wall. The trick is to keep the frames in the same color and size. A special piece of art can also be displayed on easel instead of the wall, this piece can become the focal point of the bedroom.
Add a touch of wild
Animal print chair
Animal prints are incredibly versatile, they can be printed on fabric, and used to upholster a chair or lounge. The animal print can be incorporated into the pillows and a throw across a bed, valances and drapery treatments. Adding an area rug placed under the foot of the bed or under a chair and table can add and element of surprise to any bedroom.
