Flies can be an annoyance in your home.
The little black bugs flying around your bathroom could be simple houseflies, gnats, fruit flies or even wasps.They may also be drain flies, small, gnat-like flies that breed in drains like those in your bathtub or sink. Flying bugs are attracted by unsanitary conditions or open windows, and it may be difficult to eliminate an infestation once they've invaded, but you can get rid of your flying pests.
Instructions
1. Clean your bathroom thoroughly, throw away any garbage and close bathroom windows. Flies and other insects attracted to unsanitary conditions may use the windows as an entry point. Prevent them from coming in by taking away their reason for doing so and closing the window.
2. Use drain cleaner on all the drains in your bathroom, including your sink and bathtub. Drain flies nest in moist drains and drain cleaners poison them. Specialized liquids are designed to kill drain flies.
3. Hang some flypaper from the ceiling. Flypaper is a sticky tape where flies, gnats and other insects land and become stuck. Catch insects by hanging it from your window if you need to keep your bathroom window open.
4. Crush some mint leaves and tie them up in small nylon bags. Place the bags around your bathroom. Mint naturally repels flying insects.
5. Dampen a cloth with eucalyptus oil and place it near your . The oil is another natural fly repellent to keep insects out of your bathroom.
