1. Hang wallpaper in a rose print. For a true English cottage feel, find a pattern that looks faded. Choose a pattern with large, cabbage roses or one featuring smaller flowers dotted on a pale green background.
2. Install bead board, narrow wood paneling, halfway up the wall. Paint it white and paper above it. Or top it with a chair rail, paint the walls pale green or pink and stencil a rose design around the top of the wall close to the ceiling molding.

4. Layer floor-length damask drapes in a soft pastel color over lace curtains with a rose pattern. Top the window with a tapestry swag in a .

Floors
7. Stencil a rose pattern around the border of a wood floor. Leave the rest of the floor bare to highlight the stenciled border.
